Dolores (Dolly) Brown
Dolores (Dolly) Brown, age 90, died peacefully on Sept. 6, 2023 under the care of Douglas County Hospice, at Bethany on the Lake on Alexandria, MN.
She was born Sept. 18, 1932 to Edward and Virginia Roy in Belcourt, ND.
Dolly married Bruce Brown in Stevens Point, WI, in 1951 they were together until his death in 2021. Together they raised 5 children.
Her career was at first a home maker and mother. Followed by many years in education where she served as an aide, teachers assistant and secretary. Later in her life she volunteered as a grandmother in the local school system.
She and her husband lived mostly in Minnesota throughout their lives. Significant time in Cloquet later in Nelson and Alexandria.
She is survived by her children, Diann (Russ) Parker, Susan Bjerkness, Jeffery Brown, Doug (Tami) Brown and daughter in law Sheila Brown.
She had 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Ellen, Marie, Lillian, Alexander, Ralph, Ernie, Lucien, Joseph, as well as husband Bruce and oldest child Gary.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Fahlun Lutheran Church in Nelson with a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home
